About & methodology
Handy Money Tools is a library of free money calculators. The aim is simple: when someone searches for a calculator — take-home pay, Stamp Duty, VAT, compound interest — they land on a clear, accurate tool with enough explanation to trust the number.
How we build tools
Every calculator shares the same building blocks: inputs, results, chart, worked example, FAQ, assumptions and sources. That keeps quality consistent and lets us add new tools without reinventing the page each time.
Rates & updates
UK tax tools currently use tax year 2026/27 figures, last reviewed 2026-04-06. Each page shows its own rates-updated date. We would rather ship fewer solid tools than a hundred weak ones.
Estimates, not advice
Results are illustrative. Payslips, lenders and HMRC can differ because of tax codes, benefits, fees and personal circumstances. Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice.
UK first
The site launches under /uk/. A US section can follow later using the same shared
templates.
